Henry Blum began his work in law as a law clerk for the Honorable Harold A. Baker, United States District Court Judge for the Central District of Illinois. Henry Blum practiced law at the law firms of Fulbright & Jaworski, and Dow Cogburn & Friedman, and Mendel & Blum before starting the mediation practice of Henry J. Blum, Attorney/Mediator PC in August of 2000. He has mediated over 600 civil cases involving, among other things, commercial, personal injury, energy, property tax, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, construction, foundation, mold, property, prtnership, DTPA, and employment issues. He received his B.A. in History from the University of Texas, and his J.D. from Columbia University, School of Law. He acquired Basic and Advanced Mediation Training through the Attorney-Mediators Institute (1996) and Advanced Mediator Training from the Association of Attorney-Mediators, Inc. (1999). He is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Washington, D.C. Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Attorney-Mediators, the Texas Association of Mediators, the ADR Section of the American Bar Association. He is the past Treasurer of the ADR Section of the Houston Bar Association and is currently the chair-elect. He is a Board Member of the Houston Chapter of AAM.
