Other Qualifications: Tom McDonald has over 30 years experience as a lawyer, trial judge, and neutral dispute resolver. In 1978, he was elected District Judge of the 85th Judicial District of Texas and served for 12 years and is now a Senior District Judge. For 6 years he served as a JAMS/Endispute Judicial Panelist before opening his own ADR Practice. He exhibits an informal, common sense-oriented, and a very engaging personal communication style. His success as a mediator derives from the unique combination of that style and his creative, energetic approach to collaborative problem solving. He has conducted many arbitrations and hundreds of mediations involving a broad range of civil disputes with a consistently high rate of settlement. He has served as a council member of the State Bar of Texas, ADR Section and as a member of the Task Force and Quality of ADR Practice in Texas and has served on the Texas Supreme Court's Advisory Committee on Court-Annexed Mediations. TMCA Credentialed Distinguished Mediator 2004.
