This forum is for AAM members only and you must be "invited" to join by the AAM National Office.
One of the qualifications for membership in AAM is eight years licensure by the bar.
Although a five year associate membership has been in place for some time, with the same annual renewal
requirements as a regular membership, but without voting privileges, the board has now considered the
requests of many to create a two year associate membership. A list of mediation training programs currently approved by
AAM Training Committee to fulfill training qualification requirement for initial
AAM membership.
Efforts are under way to create the first uniform mediation act. Follow the
progress of the draft Uniform Mediation Act, being developed by the National Conference of
Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution at
http://www.pon.harvard.edu/guests/uma/.
The AAM Membership and Renewal Applications are now
available for download from this website.
