You will receive a confirmation email upon completing registration and paying registration fees.

The videos for recorded sessions will be available to view as individual videos on the Association of Attorney-Mediators Course Library Page or "Program Hub". Your registration confirmation email will include a link and details on how to access the videos. You will need to create an account in the course library/program hub to gain access to the videos.

Handouts/materials will be included as a download link in the email as well as posted in the course library next to the videos.

Instructions on how to access and view the video will also be included in this email.

Please note that each video contains an on-screen pop up verification code that must be reported for attendance purposes. Please keep an eye out and write down the code while viewing the video.

After viewing the videos, you will need to complete an online record of attendance form, called a "CLE Verification" form in the course library. This will generate a certificate of attendance for your files, for AAM Office recordkeeping and form CLE/CME reporting purposes. More details will be included in the registration confirmation email.

Course Description:

When embattled parties come to mediation, they are often awash in emotions and impulses that make for difficult interactions. The Internal Family Systems (IFS) model provides a non-pathologizing language and framework for helping each party manage their own internal negotiation and manage the fearful, enraged, or wounded parts of themselves that are driving the conflict. IFS also offers mediators, lawyers, and other professionals clear, practical ways to work with their own emotions. This interactive program will include case examples, an experiential exercise, and opportunities for small group discussion.

Join the Association of Attorney-Mediators for an engaging, all-day virtual seminar packed with practical strategies, timely topics, and valuable CLE credit all from the convenience of your office or home.

This year’s program brings together experienced mediators and industry professionals to explore the issues and challenges impacting mediation practice today. The lineup includes a mock mediation and interactive discussion, an ethical scenarios panel, a unique look at overcoming impasse by using strategic pauses and distraction to help unlock new solutions, and a timely discussion of pro se parties in mediation in today’s world of AI. We’ll also explore insurance coverage and mediation, including how to identify insurance issues and incorporate them into your mediation strategy, with a practical look into the world of insurance coverage.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your skills, earn CLE credit, explore new approaches, or gain insight into issues that arise in your mediation practice, this program offers a full day of practical education and ideas you can take back to your practice.

Registration Fees

Early-Bird Rate: AAM Member registration fee is $200 and Non-Member fee is $300 through October 15th.

Please note that $100.00 of the non-member registration fee (the difference between member and non-member registration fees) can be applied toward AAM’s $275.00 annual membership dues if you decide to join within one year of the training. Membership includes a group mediator/arbitrator professional liability insurance policy.

**Registration closes at 11:59pm CT on 10/29/2026 No same-day registrations will be allowed. This is a change from our past in-person conferences, so please register in advance!**

Florida CME: This course is eligible for up to 6.75 CME hours. Mediators are required to self-report those hours applicable to their areas of certification at the time of their renewal. Our Spring 2027 Annual Meeting and Advanced Attorney-Mediator Training will be held on April 2, 2027! We will host a welcome reception on Thursday, April 1st. The venue is TBD but will be in Texas. Stay tuned for more information!
