I have been in litigation and appellate practice since 1978, handling a variety of commercial disputes. I served on Illinois ARDC Boards for more than ten years. I taught trial practice at Loyola University Chicago and Northwestern University. I have been a commercial and consumer arbitrator and mediator for AAA. have conducted more than 75 mediations, and has served as arbitrator in more than 100 arbitrations. I am a frequent speaker about mediation ethics. I am is a 1978 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law. I was was a partner at Phelan, Pope & John, Quinlan & Crisham, and Winston & Strawn. I am currently in solo practice in Chicago, focusing on professional responsibility issues for lawyers and ADR.
