I am very comfortable working with diverse segments of society, including adolescents and their parents, members of the military, and medical personnel. This level of comfort and understanding is based upon life experiences. I taught in the public schools for 5 years and served as a guidance counselor in both public and parochial schools for a total of 11 years. My father was a career Coast Guard officer, and my husband was on active duty in the Army for 8 years. I have been around the medical community my entire life, since my mother, husband, and daughter all have medical careers.
