Events & Training


The Association of Attorney-Mediators offers advanced mediation trainings twice per year. The spring advanced training is held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. The fall advanced training is a one-day, full day advanced mediation training.

AAM does not offer basic mediation training, but you may reach out to the AAM National office for guidance on basic trainings that comply with AAM's membership requirements.

    Technical Details: 

    You will receive a confirmation email upon completing registration and paying registration fees. 

    The videos for recorded sessions will be available to view as individual videos on the Association of Attorney-Mediators Course Library Page or "Program Hub".  Your registration confirmation email will include a link and details on how to access the videos.  You will need to create an account in the course library/program hub to gain access to the videos.



    Handouts/materials will be included as a download link in the email as well as posted in the course library next to the videos.

    Instructions on how to access and view the video will also be included in this email. 

    Please note that each video contains an on-screen pop up verification code that must be reported for attendance purposes.  Please keep an eye out and write down the code while viewing the video.

    After viewing the videos, you will need to complete an online record of attendance form, called a "CLE Verification" form in the course library.  This will generate a certificate of attendance for your files, for AAM Office recordkeeping and form CLE/CME reporting purposes.  More details will be included in the registration confirmation email.

    Please see MCLE notes below to ensure MCLE approvals before you register.  If your state is not listed, please email the AAM Office BEFORE you register as some states may not allow online viewing for CLE credit.  We will be happy to submit an application for MCLE approval in states not listed below.

    Join us for our Advanced Attorney-Mediator Training, Annual Meeting, and CLE Seminar. This highly interactive meeting will keep you in-the-know about cutting edge technology and practical skills for mediator in today's world. Featured speakers include top mediators from across the country to bring you a well-rounded day of learning and building upon your mediation skills.

    We hope you will join us in Arlington, TX this spring!

    Program Agenda




    The training begins midday on Friday, April 26, 2024 and ends midday on Saturday, April 27, 2024. We will complete the seminar with a highly requested optional marketing segment, following the adjournment of the AAM training.  There will be an optional group outing to watch the Texas Rangers baseball game on Saturday afternoon.

    This is an in-person live CLE Seminar and many of the interactive sessions will not be recorded for post-event on-demand viewing.  Please plan to join us in-person in Arlington, Texas to reconnect with colleagues and share together in two days of learning and networking.  The total live seminar will be accredited for up to 6.5 hours of CLE credit in many states.

    Registration Fees:

    Super Early Registration                   $300 member / $425 non-member

    *Extended* Available through March 15, 2024

    Early Registration                              $325 member / $450 non-member

    Available through March 31, 2024

    Regular Registration                          $350 member / $475 non-member

    Available after March 31, 2024 and onsite

    Non-members may apply for membership within one year and apply $125 of the non-member registration fee toward their first year’s membership dues. Membership includes a group mediator/arbitrator professional liability insurance policy.

    Host Hotel and Meeting Venue:

    The meeting venue will be the brand new Loews Arlington Hotel located in Arlington Texas between two iconic sports venues. ( 888 Nolan Ryan Expressway, Arlington, Texas, 76011). Plan to stay for the weekend to enjoy all that this vibrant area has to offer, including a Texas Rangers game or visit to Texas Live! venue.

    Optional Offerings:

    You are invited to join us for a Welcome Reception and "Dinner with a Group" if you arrive on Thursday evening. More details including location and time will be shared via email closer to the event date. See the registration form to indicate your interest and email the AAM Office at aam@attorney-mediators.org to RSVP.

    Friday evening we will enjoy cocktails and hors d'orves together at the Steer A ballroom at the hotel following the last session.  Spouses/companions may pay to attend the cocktail reception - see the information on the registration form.

    Optional Outings: We are working to coordinate a group outing to the Texas Rangers baseball game or to tour AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.  Please see information on registration form to let us know you're interested.  There will be an additional cost associated for game tickets/tour tickets.  The baseball field is situated across the street from the Loews Arlington hotel.  AT&T Stadium is situated down the street from the Loews Arlington hotel.

    We hope you will join us!  As others have reported after their first AAM seminar, "these trainings are not to be missed".   You will take away new tips and information and meet many new mediator colleagues.

    MCLE Credit:

    AAM will be pleased to facilitate obtaining MCLE credit in other states.  Please contact us as soon as possible (1-800-280-1368) or aam@attorney-mediators.org if you would like our assistance in this regard.

    MCLE Approvals:



    In early June we plan to offer a shortened version of this seminar as a recorded on-demand viewing option for CLE credit in some states.  Due to the interactive workshop structure of some of the sessions, not all will be recorded and offered on-demand.  Please make an effort to attend in-person for the best experience and connecting with colleagues.  Please note: watching the recordings may not result in CLE credit due to various states' guidelines on recorded viewing.  AAM will make application for accreditation in states where possible.
