Legal Experience:

Founder, owner and manager of LM Tatum, PLLC, a San Antonio based law practice. Practice in the areas of Business and Corporate Law, Education, General Civil Practice, Employment, Litigation, Public Finance and Contingency Planning/Estate Planning. Public Finance practice includes municipalities, transportation providers, higher education authorities, hospital districts, airports, school districts, water authorities and utilities as both Co-Bond Counsel and Underwriter’s Counsel. Business and Corporate Law, General Civil Practice and Employment practice includes service as Board counsel, general counsel, litigation counsel, and litigation counsel to corporate clients, public and private, advising them in the areas of administration, employment, and general operations. Such clients have included AT&T, B Comm Constructor LLC, Choice One Medical, Global Ag Investments LP, Life in the Heights, the San Antonio Housing Authority and the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency. Private counsel service to families and individuals includes contingency planning and simple estate planning along with assistance with business and commercial transactions on an individualized and more private basis. Litigation practice includes advocacy addressing employment matters, civil right claims, education law and general litigation including construction claims, contracts and commercial real estate transactions. Education practice includes service as general litigation counsel, counsel to the Board, and Chapter 21 counsel to school districts.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience: Served in the area of conflict resolution through the course of work serving as outside counsel to Boards and businesses attending to internal concerns, employment matters and contract disputes as well as contract negotiations. As an experienced litigator and attorney, Ms. Tatum has managed to help her clients avoid litigation in the majority of instances in which her assistance has been requested.
