From Barbara Kazen email:Michael attended the Mediation Practicum Course presented by David Levin and myself at the First Judicial District Courthouse in Santa Fe on October 27 and 28, 2016. Michael received 10.2 New Mexico CLE credit hours of Mediation training. Then Michael also attended the Advanced Mediation, Style, Behavior & Power of Mediators course presented by David and myself at the Courthouse in Santa Fe on April 19 and 20, 2018. He received 10.25 New Mexico CLE hours of Advanced mediation for the course. As I think you are aware, I have conducted a mediation program at the First Judicial District from 2009 until the pandemic closed the courthouse. During these years myself and a group of volunteer family law mediators would meet with persons the first and third Wednesday of each month who had cases scheduled on those days. We had over a 99% success rate of mediating their issues without the need for a court hearing. Michael was a faithful and consistent volunteer each month for all of those years and earned a reputation as an effective mediator. In addition, he has conducted numerous privately requested mediations and settlement conferences. Michael is highly qualified to become a member of the Attorney Mediator Association.
