The two-day, 15 hour-CLE elder advanced mediation training, presented by Robert J. Rhudy of Senior Mediation and Decision-Making, Inc., will cover

  • What's unique about elder mediation

  • Recent developments

  • Common issues

  • Participants & roles

  • Ethics issues

  • Management & marketing of elder mediation practice

  • Resources for the elder mediator.

The Elder Advanced Training is limited to 30 participants.  For this advanced training, each participant must have completed the basic mediation training required in their state.

The training includes two hours of professional responsibility credits, presentations by experts in elder care and elder law, and facilitated role plays.  AAM Illinois Chapter members will be facilitators and participants in the training, including former AAM President, Michael Leech, on ethics with Mr. Rhudy.

All participants will receive a copy of Mr. Rhudy’s Elder Mediation Today Manual and Resource Guide in addition to other materials used in the training.

We will apply for MCLE credit in all states in which MCLE credits are requested.  CME credits will be applied for in states as requested as well.  MCLE approvals will be published as they are received.

Non-AAM Members may apply $195 (USD) of their registration fee for the training as a credit toward their AAM membership dues, provided the application for membership is received and activated on or before June 30, 2017.  AAM Membership dues include a group liability insurance policy which covers mediation and arbitration.
