We hope you can join us on October 2, 2026 for "What Makes People Tick: A Mediator’s Introduction to Managing the Negotiation Within" with David Hoffman, presented by the AAM Illinois Chapter.

Friday, October 2, 2026 • Held Virtually by Zoom

    11:00 am - 1:00 pm CT / 12:00 Noon - 2:00pm ET / 9:00 am - 11:00am PT

    Course Description:

When embattled parties come to mediation, they are often awash in emotions and impulses that make for difficult interactions. The Internal Family Systems (IFS) model provides a non-pathologizing language and framework for helping each party manage their own internal negotiation and manage the fearful, enraged, or wounded parts of themselves that are driving the conflict. IFS also offers mediators, lawyers, and other professionals clear, practical ways to work with their own emotions. This interactive program will include case examples, an experiential exercise, and opportunities for small group discussion.]
